Yay My News!

I’m excited to tell you about some changes coming up for me.  About a month ago I applied to Daisie Company because over the past 6 months or so I have been getting more and more interested in doing hybrid and printable crafts.  I actually did lots of printable scrapbooking before diving into digital and I’m anxious to get back to it a bit…for a couple of reasons.  One I think it’s a great way to introduce new people to the world of digital. Two, it just gives me variety in designing and another venue to use my graphics other than scrapbook projects – such as cards, gift bags, gift sets, etc.  I also think there are lots of fun projects that moms can do with their children.  All this just when my husband was thinking the dining room table would be free of paper and pictures! Also, Daisie has an angel policy for all their items so this is the place to buy my designs if you scrap for hire. I already have a few items there including my newest releases, Playing Hooky, Playing Hooky Mini Kit and Playing Hooky Arrow Mini Album.

My Husband's New Girlfriend...

Yes, it's true - my husband has a new girlfriend.  She is our 6 pound puppy and she totally has him wrapped around her paw!  He spoils her rotten and when asked, says "She was bred to be spoiled".  Well, I suppose there's enough room in his heart for both of us girls (since she is so little!)  Happy Valentine's Day Sweetie!

I had a baby...

11 years ago today!  On Abe Lincoln's birthday, Heath made his entrance into the world and we are so grateful for this wonderful boy!  Since Lincoln is Heath's favorite president, I thought a picture of him with his Lincoln book would make a great birthday tribute.  Heath, by the way, says when he becomes President, his memorial will be next to Lincoln's.  He actually has lots of ideas about how things will be when he is President - like milk in food will be outlawed since he is allergic to milk.  Wish I would have written down all his Presidential decrees - they would make fun reading in the future.  Speaking of fun, aren't these elements fun?  They are from Eva Kipler's Birthday Revolution (she made it for Heath's birthday only don't tell her son Alex - he thinks it was for his birthday), releasing Thursday at The Digi Chick, and Cinzia Loosemore's Urban Grunge Collection at Digital Freebies.

Today is our puppy's birthday!  Snow, AKA Birdie, is one today.  She is still in her puppy chewing phase, although, until this past weekend, she hadn't destroyed anything beyond repair.  Unfortunately though, Friday evening she chewed up two of Heath's Nintendo DS games and he's still not real happy with her.  Birdie celebrated her birthday with some doggie ice cream - which we usually won't let her have because it makes her wild.  She got two new toys and now is taking a siesta.  We sure have enjoyed this puppy!  Credits:  Paper and ribbon - Tracy Ann's Lucky Dips (December); confetti and hat - Jacque Larsen and Kate Hatfield's Let's Celebrate.  Font:  Jangles.
