Sale and a Birthday!

Sd_vdsale082

Just a quick post to let you know Scrap Dish is having a storewide sale.  My items with the exception of Dollar Bin items are 35% off with my quick page sets 40% off.  You can find my Scrap Dish Boutique HERE.

Today is our puppy's birthday!  Snow, AKA Birdie, is one today.  She is still in her puppy chewing phase, although, until this past weekend, she hadn't destroyed anything beyond repair.  Unfortunately though, Friday evening she chewed up two of Heath's Nintendo DS games and he's still not real happy with her.  Birdie celebrated her birthday with some doggie ice cream - which we usually won't let her have because it makes her wild.  She got two new toys and now is taking a siesta.  We sure have enjoyed this puppy!  Credits:  Paper and ribbon - Tracy Ann's Lucky Dips (December); confetti and hat - Jacque Larsen and Kate Hatfield's Let's Celebrate.  Font:  Jangles.

I've been scrapping

I've been scrapping a few pages lately...these two using some of LaWanna Desjardin's fun new template sets Creative Block Busters available at Scrapbook-Bytes.  I scrapped a few pictures of our sweet puppy on Christmas day opening her presents and of Heath and one of his friends posing in front of the ice wall at ICE! in December.  Credits:  LaWanna's Creative Block Busters Set 1; Merry Wishmas and Countdown all available at SBB.

Catching up...

So I'm guessing it's a good thing keeping my blog up to date wasn't one of my New Year's Resolutions!  I think our two basic resolutions are to do the A Picture A Day Challenge (Heath and I are doing that) and our "Name 5 Things" (we are thankful for) each day before bed.  I found a really fun template to use for our daily pictures at Kathryn Wilson Designs.  I'll be sure to post at least one of our pages when we finish January.  My main design projects have involved my All My Heart Page Kit available at Scrap Dish and Digital Freebies.  Jadelyn and Tanya have created some wonderfully fun coordinating products for this set including a CD album, Quickpage set, Treat Pack, Purse Pack and Valentine Set along with my Brag Book...lots of hybrid and scrapping goodies.  Look for some new products soon!

2007 Finds!

Hard to believe tonight ends 2007. Overall, it’s been a great year and 2008 will be too. I found some great things this year…some are new and some are just new to me. Here’s my list of 2007 finds:

  1. Fuze –      I actually conquered my addiction to Diet Coke when I found Fuze.
  2. FJ      Cruiser – I LOVE my FJ. I had a      Nissan Quest Van that actually had lots more “luxuries” than my FJ…but I’m      drawn to the fact I don’t have carpet to get dirty and I actually have      room to put my groceries in the back of the vehicle.
  3. XM      Radio – Well, part of my FJ find included XM radio. I remember insisting in the parking lot      that as long as our radio picked up Froggy, I didn’t need XM. We ended up getting the one with XM      because we wanted the side air bags. Oh my goodness, what did I do before Oprah and Friends? XM 156 Rocks!
  4. Joel      Osteen – I can’t say enough about his uplifting, encouraging      messages! I love his books, his      sermons and the positive views on life. When our church services changed times and we didn’t get home in      time to see him, I really stressed (until I found an alternative time to      watch him).
  5. Salad      Pizazz – Orange Cranberry Almondine makes my salad mouthwatering in no      time!
  6. Nick      Saban – OK so here’s the deal…I love Alabama football and if that means 4      million a year – so be it!
  7. Maltese      puppies – well how could I have the cutest Maltese and not list it as the      best find of 2007? Snow is      adorable, although of late, she has decided that chewing on remotes and      laptop cords are fun (silly dog)!

Thanks again for all your support in 2007! I can’t wait to see what 2008 holds!

Here’s wishing you the BEST year EVER!

Christmas Goodies

Christmas is coming in a very short time!  Yesterday I went with my mother in law, son and his friend to one of our favorite Christmas attractions - ICE!  This year The Grinch Who Stole Christmas was featured.  There were tons of fun, larger than life ice statues of the Grinch and Who-Villagers (I guess that's what you call people from Who-ville).  I took 90 pictures - wow I love digital cameras - I would have never done that with film!  Here are a few photos from yesterday in a quick page by my design team member Conny, who surprised me with this page earlier in the week.  She created it from my Christmas Charm Page Set and I thought the whimsical elements were perfect for my Grinch pictures!  I want to share the quick page with you along with several other goodies including a Here Comes Santa Claus Quick Page, Plum Pudding Recipe Cards by Jadelyn, a couple of blog banners - also by Conny, and a Christmas Goodies Mini Kit.  You can find all the related kits and element packs at Scrap Dish.  Download your Christmas Goodies HERE and thanks for visiting my blog!  Check back for more goodies and new release info!

Calendars for Christmas

Last year I made calendars for Christmas for my mom and my inlaws - this year the list has grown.  I'm making 5 gift calendars!  This year, I didn't really want to rescrap my pictures into another layout for the calendars, so I made a template that would allow me to use my square pages, add a border and note section and have my pages in no time.  Over the weekend, I was able to make 36 calendar pages this way.  I wanted to share some of my pages and my template with you.  Credits include Eva Kipler's Be Neutral Bundle and Kit and LaWanna Desjardin's Merry Wishmas and Oopsie Daisy.  TFL!
You can download the calendar template HERE.

Almost Finished Florals

Not quite a quick page but this embellishment pack will help you create pages quickly. These embellished frames range in size from 6 to 9 inches. All you need to do is add your background, pictures and journaling or an additional accent for fast, fabulous pages.  You can get these on my Blog Boutique or at Scrap Dish currently.  I've already used them to make a couple of pages...the first is Snow and the second is Snow (again) with my sister, Mary Kay.  The cool mats in my preview and first page are from Eva Kipler's Punched Out set available at Digital Freebies and Retrodiva.Janhosford_almostfinishedflorals__4 Sweetpuppy_600_7
